Meet the Editor

Edith Duarte is an MBA and an entrepreneur with a creative streak. She is a Texas Tech University and Texas A&M University alumna and founder of ELLA CREATIVE MEDIA, publisher of ELLA Inspires Magazine.

When I started my career in government, I never knew I would wind up running a creative business (first as a web designer for small business owners, then later as a women’s magazine). As I began to network, I met a lot of great women in my community. In our networking meetings, these women shared their struggles and triumphs with me, and I wondered: What if we could create a platform for women to share their personal stories of growth, progress, determination, and success? Along with elegant photography, my goal was to create a safe place to share those everyday stories no one was talking about in major media outlets. The result? ELLA Inspires is an online magazine that celebrates professional women and entrepreneurs! 

 
 

ELLA Inspires Magazine

ELLA Inspires is an upscale lifestyle publication for the suburban female professional. Our magazine attracts women ranging from age 25-49 living not just in Dallas but all over the United States and internationally (61 countries to be exact)! Established in late 2018, our audience is growing rapidly across Facebook and Instagram. Larger-than-life images and elegant silhouettes splashed across the magazine form an integral part of a classy, feminine, yet empowering brand for women.

We’ve worked with professional women, entrepreneurs, influencers, and celebrities across the Dallas metroplex and the US. Our features are unique in the industry; each feature is several pages long, written by the featured covergirl, and include a professional photo shoot. 

 
 

Over time, the ELLA brand has morphed into so much more than a magazine for women.

ELLA Inspires is so much more than a magazine. For our cover sessions, we go the extra mile to create something that compliments the women, brand, and personal story being told in the magazine. My team and I will do a 3-hour photo shoot with each featured model that includes wardrobe, hairstyling, and makeup. We play music and drink champagne at the photoshoot to ‘cELLAbrate’ (borrowed from a former covergirl) her professional and personal success. After the issue is published, we spend weeks promoting it on social media!

As I started to meet with local women in business, I discovered many of them were looking for ways to be more competitive and market their business online. This led me to create services that focused more on social media, PR, and luxury brand marketing.  We create digital and print options geared toward helping each woman showcase her value and grow her social reach. Many have described being featured in the magazine as an ‘experience’ and in order to keep the quality of the publication high, there is an application process.

I would like to continue cultivating relationships and eventually create an education-based community to help other entrepreneurs build stronger businesses using the tools and knowledge I use for my own business. In the next four years, we plan to grow our revenue through the expansion of our magazine distribution to major cities across the US. We also plan to establish and develop a mentorship branch within ELLA to help fund female-led small business through training and scholarships.
