Arc at South Bank: What to Wear at Turks and Caicos' Most Architectural Address

Some destinations are worth building a shoot list around before you've even packed. Arc at South Bank is one of them.

The Location

Arc is the newest landmark at South Bank, an oceanfront resort and marina taking shape in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos. Italian architect Piero Lissoni kept the building deliberately small in scale — just 17 residences stacked six stories above the beach, from two-bedroom layouts up to a five-bedroom penthouse. What sets each one apart isn't square footage so much as the "Air Garden" attached to it: a private outdoor room, part pool deck and part planted courtyard, where a plunge pool or hot tub, a rain shower, and an outdoor kitchen all sit under open sky. Indoors, the material palette stays just as restrained, built around Boffi cabinetry and Gaggenau appliances.

The building works like a resort in miniature. There's a shared restaurant and bar, two pools to choose between, and a pier boardwalk that ends at a row of private cabanas. Zoom out to the broader South Bank community and you'll also find a beachside spa, a boat concierge for excursions around the Caicos Banks, and Lua Beach House for anyone who wants a more social afternoon. It's a lot of built-in scenery — which is exactly why the wardrobe has to earn its place rather than coast on the view.
